Crochet coasters gift wrap

I’ve never been a fan of gaudy Christmas wrapping paper. It’s so much more personal and thoughtful to give a loved one a beautifully hand wrapped gift. This year I decided to make crochet coasters to stick on top of a couple of the gifts.I wrapped the gifts in brown kraft paper and tied them up with green and white butchers twine. Then I simply pulled the bow through the little space in the middle of the coasters. The pattern I used for the coasters is reworked from a pattern that was originally printed in 1893. You can find the pattern here. I used a 5mm crochet hook and Sugar’n Cream yarn in hot purple, hot green, and rose pink.
