Currently creating: Vintage fabric bag with circular handles

chiaki creates vintage fabric bag with circular handleschiaki creates vintage fabric bag with circular handles 2I made another circular handles bag the other week. The gorgeous vintage sixties apple fabric that I used was brought to me from Sweden by my mother.

I altered my sewing pattern slightly for this bag. Again I used medium weight sew-in interfacing to give it a bit of stiffness. There’s a mobile pocket inside it as well. This time I lined the bag with orange cotton fabric and decided to attach the handles using my sewing machine. It was a lot quicker but rather tricky as the handles are quite large.

I’m still trying to figure out the most efficient way of making these bags as I’m hoping to sell a few of them in my online shop once it’s opened.

  1. Reblogged this on Amanda's Words / starfire8me and commented:
That was sweet, you did a very good job on it too!

    • Thank you for the compliment, Amanda. I’m glad you like it. Unfortunately, I do not want my posts or my content reblogged or reposted. It says so clearly in the sidebar. Could you please remove it straight away. Thank you for understanding.

  2. I love the fabric! Gorgeous!
